His Dreams
June 6, 2009opals,
yellow gold,
and a diamond,
he imagined,
then drew onto a piece of paper
which he gave to the jeweler
in hopes he could
make them real . . .
his dreams
now wrapped around my finger
have made their way
from his heart,
to his head,
then to the paper
and the jeweler
before finally coming to rest
on my left hand.
